Some common questions we get about Onagre
You can be up and running in just a few minutes. Create an account, add your first sensors, and instantly start monitoring your applications or services. No complex installation is required—Onagre is SaaS-based, and private agents can be deployed just as easily if you need to monitor internal resources.
Not necessarily. Onagre was designed to be intuitive and user-friendly. Developers and IT professionals will appreciate the advanced configuration options, but anyone can create sensors and understand dashboards without deep technical knowledge.
Yes. We provide a free plan that lets you explore the platform without commitment. It’s ideal for testing Onagre’s capabilities and understanding how it fits your workflow before choosing a paid plan with more sensors and features.
By default, Onagre is cloud-based and fully managed, so you don’t have to worry about infrastructure. For organizations with stricter requirements, a dedicated SaaS deployment on isolated infrastructure is also available.
Onagre offers a wide range of sensors designed for real-world needs. You can monitor APIs with HTTP checks, validate JSON or XML responses, track SSL certificate expiration, verify DNS resolution, and even check database queries or Redis keys. This means you can cover everything from basic availability to deep application health checks.
Yes. Our private agents let you monitor servers, databases, and services that aren’t exposed to the public internet. Agents run securely inside your infrastructure and communicate only with Onagre, ensuring full visibility without compromising security.
Every sensor is customizable. You can define the check interval (every minute, hour, or custom schedule), adjust timeouts, send payloads, validate response codes, and add custom conditions. This flexibility ensures your monitoring matches your application’s exact requirements.
Absolutely. You can connect to SQL databases like PostgreSQL, MySQL, SQL Server, and Oracle, or monitor Redis directly. Onagre allows you to run queries and validate results against custom conditions—for example, ensuring a table contains data or checking if a queue length stays below a threshold.
Onagre integrates with the tools you already use daily. Whether your team works on Slack, Microsoft Teams, Discord, Google Chat, or prefers webhooks, alerts are delivered instantly in the right place. This avoids the need to constantly check dashboards—Onagre tells you when something’s wrong.
Yes. Each sensor can be configured with its own alerting rules. For example, you might want to be notified if a response time exceeds 500 ms, if a JSON field is missing, or if a Redis key contains too many items. This avoids false positives and ensures alerts are meaningful.
Currently, notifications are sent directly to your chosen channels. Advanced escalation features—such as escalating alerts to another team if not acknowledged—are planned for future releases. In the meantime, you can use webhooks to integrate Onagre with your existing incident management tools.
Yes. Security is at the core of Onagre’s design. All communication is encrypted, and we only store what is strictly necessary. Sensitive connection details for databases or internal systems are never stored in the cloud but remain on your private agent.
Agents establish secure, persistent connections with Onagre using TLS certificates. They never expose your infrastructure to the internet and only pull tasks from the platform. This design ensures that communication is encrypted end-to-end and your internal resources remain fully protected while being monitored.
Only the essentials. We collect account and billing information to provide our service, but your monitoring data belongs to you. We do not sell or share your data with third parties.
Onagre is proudly hosted in France, within data centers that comply with both French and European regulations. In addition, the agents that perform monitoring checks are hosted within the European Union, ensuring that all data processing remains under EU jurisdiction. This guarantees compliance with GDPR and provides strong assurances of security and privacy.
Not yet, but it’s coming. Future releases will support direct integration with secret managers like Azure Key Vault or HashiCorp Vault, so your sensitive credentials can be managed in a centralized, secure way.
Onagre offers a Free plan for individuals or small tests, Pro plans for growing teams, Enterprise plans for larger organizations, and an SaaS Dedicated option for companies with specific compliance needs. Each plan scales in the number of sensors, integrations, and advanced features.
The Free plan includes a limited number of sensors and access to core features like dashboards and alerts. It’s perfect for getting started and evaluating Onagre before moving to a more advanced plan.
All payments are handled securely through Stripe. You can choose monthly or yearly billing, and invoices are available directly from your account. Annual subscriptions come with a discount.
